“Ashwa” means horse or stallion, “gan” mean to value, and “dha” means to bestow. Ashwagandha roughly translates to “be strong and valuable like a stallion.” Ashwagandha is an Ayurverdic herb that nourishes and restores your nervous and immune system. It is helpful to take in the Late Winter months, January and February, to help protect and nourish your kidneys. Why protect your kidneys? Because they help regulate the warmth and energy of your body. You could also try wearing a scarf around your waist? Don't know how well that'd work. I take this herb twice a day, once in the morning, once at night, during Chicago's winter months, and when I need help getting over a cold. I prefer the brand Organic India because I like the packaging and the glass bottle, real deep I know.
